Three Benefits of Independent Living
1. Maintenance-Free Living
One of the desirable perks of independent living is freedom from chores associated with homeownership, including lawn care, home repairs, shoveling snow, and more. Housekeeping and maintenance staff handle most of these tasks at our communities so active seniors can focus on other aspects of life. We take care of the details so our residents can spend their free time doing what they love like social activities, volunteering, and hobbies.
2. Private Living in a Community
The balance between enjoying privacy, while also being part of an active senior living community, is another benefit that draws seniors to independent living. Our full social and activities calendars provide lots of daily opportunities to join in, and many of our communities have fitness facilities and other amenities to take advantage of to support your healthy lifestyle. Our independent living residents can often access dining service and transportation as well. Seniors can utilize everything the community has to offer as much or as little as preferred. And it’s easy to connect with like-minded people and reap the benefits of consistent social interactions!
3. Peace of Mind
Each stage of life has unique challenges with peace of mind becoming a top priority as we age. Our communities provide a variety of security measures, including dedicated security staff, building access systems, on-call staff, call buttons and/or in-home security systems.
From a healthcare perspective, our independent living residents have priority access. Along with access to on-site healthcare services (as available), our independent living residents have priority entry to a higher level of care at the community if the need arises. Many of Christian Care’s senior living communities offer multiple levels of care, from Assisted Living to Personal Care and Memory Care.
