Seniors at Christian Care Communities are looking for fun and engaging ways to stay healthy, make new friends and cherish lasting memories. Trips to the grocery store, a wellness and health fair, stopping for ice cream, attending a baseball game, and enjoying hotdogs at the stadium, even driving through neighborhoods just to enjoy the leaves changing colors – it’s time to make new memories with healthy living activities.
Christian Care is in great need of wheelchair accessible 14-passenger buses for our seniors in Bowling Green, Corbin, Hopkinsville, and Louisville.
A donor has generously launched our Get On The Bus campaign with a $25,000 gift and a statewide goal of $250,000 to fund 4 buses!
It’s true – social isolation and loneliness are major risk factors affecting seniors’ health every day, but especially in recent months. Social connections for aging adults are critical, playing an essential role in their mental, emotional, and physical health.
Seniors who are socially connected have a stronger sense of belonging, feel confident with their place in the world and experience stronger spiritual health.
Your support will bring back independence and fun-filled memories to the lives of Christian Care seniors by providing buses that will lead them on a road to healthy social engagement within our community.
Thank you for helping us reach our Get On The Bus goal!
