Friendship House and Chapel House is celebrating its 25th anniversary and invites the community to join them on Thursday, June 29, at 11 a.m. for the ribbon cutting and dedication of their new medical clinic and beauty salon followed by a reception.
The medical clinic inside Friendship House for senior residents will be dedicated.
The new addition was made possible in part by a gift from Dr. Kari Shields who has for supported Christian Care Communities for many years.
“In the new medical clinic and throughout Friendship House and Chapel House, Dr. Shield’s legacy of caring will be supported by our staff and volunteers who do so much for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our wonderful residents,” said Mary Lynn Spalding, CEO of Christian Care Communities.
The clinic is a room with many different functions serving people with different needs. lt’s a place for treatment, listening, consulting, educating, and comfort.
On the days the medical clinic isn’t open, other services for senior citizens – including beauty and wellness – will be offered.
The new onsite salon will offer standard haircare services including shampoo and style, cuts, perms and color, plus beard trimming and shaving for men.
The residents of Friendship House and Chapel House also helped in making these two new additional services possible through many fundraising projects. Together with Dr. Shield’s, they have helped to bring a better quality of life for all the senior residents of Christian Care Communities to enjoy.
The community is invited to attend the open house to learn more about the senior services we provide and to meet our care providers.
Light refreshments will be served.
